about

This track was originally written on piano and was a slow Tom Waitsy kind of ballad, then I decided it needed some juice. So I took it too my friends, the Mushkat Band, and presto, and rompy, classic rock kind of song.

lyrics

I sat on a train with Miranda, talkin’ all night.
But something was missing, something wasn’t right.
She just wasn’t you, and there wasn’t nothin’ she could do.

There’s no one to blame.
There’s no one to blame.

Somethings are never the same.

She said all the right words, did all the right things.
But I never saw the need for diamond rings.

There was only you on my mind.
Cause, your always hard to find.

There’s no one to blame.
There’s no one to blame.

Somethings are never the same.

Nothin’s gonna change between you and I.
There’s more than one good reason why.

But that don’t stop the rain.
That keeps on falling from this pain.

There’s no one to blame.
There’s no one to blame.

Somethings are never
Somethings are never
Somethings are never the same.
